just because calg. is short of everything this rest. is still here, it truely sucks! worst service ever..... they better reflect among themselves or something bad might happen to them

The barbeque part of the meal was really good tasting, and I did enjoy much of the sushi. We had no problem with either being kicked out or not getting our food quickly, and our waiter was always smiling. However, I'll probably never go again

It was kind of gross how much mayonnaise they added to pretty much all the rolls, their oyster and their shrimp sushi. Shrimp sushi had the taste you get when it's left out too long with the guts intact and the enzymes from the intestines start to digest the flesh... even with all the sauce on it.

The worst part was the cleanliness of this place. Our BBQ grill was caked-on dirty (we got there at about 5pm when the restaurant was empty and there was ample time for cleaning) the bathroom was the ABSOLUTELY most dirty I have been in within this country. Not only was there a thick layer of grime and dirt over the floor, but the stall locks were kind of slimy. Both toilet stalls were plugged and smelly, and the seats had been urinated on and not cleaned up. This was one of the few times since Junior High that I grabbed insane amounts of paper towel to shield my hand from having to touch any taps or handles in the bathroom. It did not help that as soon as I got back to the table, I peeked underneath it and saw a couple of dessicated chicken bones. Needless to say that I didn't eat any more after that.

If cleanliness doesn't matter to you in a restaurant where you're ingesting RAW FISH - you'll have a blast here! If you don't want to risk getting salmonella, give this one a pass and hit the AYCE Sushi Ichiban on Macleod Trail just south of downtown.

The Chef told my sister and brohter in-law they ate too much and kicked them out (supposed to be all you can eat). Then the Chef spat in my brother in-laws face and tried to punch him.

How would I rate this restaurant.....? Worse than poor. I wouldn't go if someone paid me.

LAWSUIT PENDING...I am not impressed with this place at all. I was I frequent visitor, but according to the manager / chef I don't eat all my rice, So, he ask my girlfriend and I to leave. As we left, the chef threw food at me, followed us outside and as he was being restrained by his staff he managed to get a couple shots of spit on my face. Futher info regarding lawsuit to follow for those who have also been assaulted by the chef in various ways.

Our service was excellent!!!! We didn't have to wait for anything and the food was very good as well. I can't wait to go back. We are from Ontario, and this is the first time that we have found good service in this city.

Has really bad service or absolutely no service! But they still pad the bill at the end! They look at you as if you cant finish the food leaving all empty plates on table and 0 refills (They wont let you leave if you dont pay tips even though we are not obligated to do so) they curse you and tell you to shut up and frame you for wasting food, such manners can not be accepted! Worst restaurant ever! Please be advised!

Horrible service, rude employees and unknown charges to your bill.

Since you're along 16th ave, keep driving along, and you're bound to hit another sushi bar...which would have a high chance of it being more professional than this dump

Service is absolutely horrible, on top of that they demand that they get tip and automatically add it onto the bill when their service wasn't even worth the amount of tip they demand you to pay. They do not go and refill your cup automatically beyond their will or come around to clean off the dishes, you have to ask them SEVERAL times before they finally decide to help you and along with that waiting to be seated takes forever. They seriously need to learn to respect their customers and not neglect them. Definitely not a restaurant I would ever go to or recommend to anyone.

RUDE pple serving you= they let the pile of dishes pile up, slower then slow refills (never unless we ask), dirty plates, always CHARGE TIPS at end and say its the law to pay tips but its not!!!!!!!!!!
ADD food to your bill if you dont pay tips or even if they dont like you, must finish food even if its bad or even if its food that you spat out!

Service was absolutely terrible. Eventually required help from the police to solve the problem. Food was added to the table after leaving to make us pay more. Dessert was served halfway into the meal, tip was added at 20%. Fish had a moldy taste, beef was a very odd green color.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FURIOUS AT A REST. BEFORE THIS IS THE WORST REST. EVER PLZ NEVER GO. THE SERVICE IS EXTREMELY BAD. THEY CONSTANTLY TALK BACK AND FORCE TIPS. Their english isn't great which makes it hard to understand and their plates we founded 3 plates that were really dirty. Their rice is very sweet which is kind of weird and overal i find it very horrible there.

I go for the food. It's one of my favorite sushi places. My only concern is the service. The waiters/waitresses often neglect you and with a manditory tip I think they should try a little harder to satisfy the customers.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the city, and we have tried almost everywhere!

We were ignored like everytime we put our new order in (AYCE)and we were a group of 10. The receptionist at the front was so rude because there was an available table, but she wouldn't give it to us. On top of that, when we asked the waiter to check if we still had food coming, she would always say that it was coming when in fact we didn't even have any food left for them to serve. What sucks even more is that the tip is put onto the bill when their service isn't even worth the 10% that we must pay. TO MAKE IT SIMPLE, THIS PLACE IS THE WORST AND DON'T GO IF YOUR STARVING (long wait). THERE ARE OTHER PLACES THAT YOU CAN GO TO. This is just a heads up, but if you complain about anything, like the sushi or the wait, the owner comes out and actually yells at you and tells you to leave. NO JOKE!

Food is decent. There is better sushi in the city, but it is rare to find an all you can eat. $22 is a fair price and I've never been asked to leave. Service has usually been pretty bad, have to wait 20 minutes for a water refill. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!! Waited almost an hour to get a seat, as they were letting people with reservations who were there 30-45 minutes in before seating me. I have visited about 4 times, and have never left more than a 3 dollar tip, but I eat a lot of sushi and can't complain about the price.

We go to this restaurant twice a month. I have found the service to be great as well as the food. I have NEVER seen the bill being padded!?! We have small children and they make an extra effort for us. It is very busy and sometimes you have to wait a long time to get seated... 30 minutes. You can make reservations just not btwn 6 and 8. If you go at 5 it is absolutely empty.

We went there a couple of times. I find the waitresses extremely rude and unhelpful. The food IS good, but i do feel quite akward eating there as i feel like i am being judged. As for the all you can eat, well the price is good, but the time alotted for waiting for the food you order, we were lucky if we got 2 orders in before they said we were done. Tip Eat close to the counter. You can stare back at the chefs, i find it makes them a weee bit unconfortable,hense the food comes faster and you get your lot and you get out. LOOK OUT FOR PADDING ON BILLS. Just leave what you owe. They know what they are doing. They are not dumb. Does not mean we have to be and pay for the pad.*wink*

the sushi was not very fresh and the beef looked a funny color definitely not impressed especially since it was expensive

the service is terrible. they cannot count. we were there for only 1hr15 mins and they told us that our time was up. we were still eating at that time. i was there on a business meeting as well. bad!!!
they do padded your bill so pay attention to them.

The service are really bad. They recognize your face If you don't pay enough tips or you eat too much food. They will kick you out next time when you come. Their food are not very good and the place are very dirty. Don't be fool to go there for all you can eat. I don't recommand people to go there.

There are much better sushi places in calgary. Dont let the all you can eat fool you. We had been going to this resturant for two years and the staff had always recognized us. For the first time in the numorus visits we complained about something in the food, (normal it happens everywhere) well in front of my wife the owner came up and started swearing at us and said there was nothing wrong with the food. literaly his staff had to hold him back just because I politely complained about one plate. His staff was embarresed for him and actually profusly appologised for his actions, but the evening was already ruined. To top it off we were stuck with a 35 dollar bill for the few things we had ordered (they padded the bill) Trust me there are better places in calgary with much better survice.

A bit crowded make reservations! But can't beat the price @ $20 for AYCE. The Korean BBQ is nice if there are people in your group that aren't too fond of sushi. Good variety. Quality is much better than other AYCE places in town.
